How we treat the evidence

We distinguish surviving evidence from interpretation and visual reconstruction. Maps can represent approximate routes or relationships without claiming to trace a surveyed ancient road. Modern landscapes and illustrative models are identified as such.

Map explorations include their own sources and model limitations. These remain separate from the final film’s research and production approvals.
